Young at Art 2000

December 3, 2000 – February 11, 2001

Overview

Young at Art celebrates the creative spirit among area youth. Organized by the Madison Art Center and the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), this biennial exhibition underscores the importance of artistic expression and the value of art education by showcasing individual accomplishment in the visual arts. Featuring a wide range of media by local students in grades K–12, the exhibition will be on view in the second-floor galleries from December 3, 2000 through February 11, 2001.

More than 150 works are placed on view, which are selected by Madison area art teachers who may submit up to three selections. The exhibition is coordinated by Madison Art Center curator of education Sheri Castelnuovo in cooperation with MMSD Fine Arts Coordinator Mariel Wozniak.
