Art Fair on the Square

One of the Midwest's most popular and highly regarded outdoor celebrations of the arts will return to the Capitol Square July 11 and 12, 2015 as MMoCA presents the 57th annual Art Fair on the Square. With its mix of music, entertainment, and outdoor dining, as well as more than 450 artists exhibiting paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewelry, handmade clothing and accessories, and fine craft, the fair draws nearly 200,000 visitors to Madison's Capitol Square. 

2015 ART FAIR HOURS
Saturday, July 11 (9 am–6 pm)
Sunday, July 12 (10 am–5 pm)

PARKING
There are many options for parking in downtown Madison. View a map of city-operated parking lots, garages and ramps. 

ENTERTAINMENT
Fans of music and dance will have plenty of reasons to enjoy the Art Fair on the Square. Thirty groups and individuals will perform at this year’s fair, including out-of-town and local favorites. Visitors can rest and watch performances while enjoying a meal at food courts on State Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, or at the seating area on the Capitol Steps at North Hamilton Street. The student stage at East Washington Avenue will showcase the talent of young classical musicians all weekend. View the entertainment schedule.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
The fair offers 40 concession stands and food carts for your dining pleasure. View a list of the tasty treats and participating food vendors that can be enjoyed at the fair.

CHILDREN
The Kids Area of the Art Fair, located on the King Street steps of the Capitol building, invites families to drop by and enjoy games and art projects galore. Click here for a complete schedule.

ARTIST APPLICATION PROCESS
We are not currently accepting Artist Applications for the 2015 Art Fair on the Square. Artists may apply for the fair November through early March each year on Zapplication.org.
