MMoCA Mosaic 5K
The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art raised funds this winter with a socially-distanced event, the MMoCA Mosaic 5K. Proceeds support the museum’s admission-free policy, exhibitions, programming, and operations. As a thank you for completing the 5K, all registrants received a limited-edition scarf in February featuring the artwork of Terrence Adeyanju!
Photos submitted by registrants of their 5K experience became part of a vibrant photo mosaic, viewable online and in the MMoCA lobby Tuesday, February 23 through Sunday, March 14, 2021.
MMoCA is excited to reveal the vibrant mosaic created using dozens of photographs submitted to the Museum by over 100 of the runners, joggers, walkers, cyclists, and more who completed the MMoCA Mosaic 5K fundraiser this January.
As a thank you after the event, everyone who registered for the 5K received a limited-edition scarf, which includes the event’s featured artwork, Running in the Dark, conceived by Madison-based artist Terrence Adeyanju. The featured artwork and a mosaic of photos submitted by 5K participants was on view online at mmoca.org and in the Museum lobby from Tuesday, February 23, through Sunday, March 14.
