ArtZone

ArtZone participants explore a painting by Chicago artist Karl Wirsum.

ArtZone is MMoCA's afterschool art program for 4th through 6th grade youth. The program involves students from neighborhood and community centers in a two-hour workshop at the museum that combines engaging gallery discussions with related hands-on art activities. Students participating in organized afterschool programs at area schools are also welcome to attend the program.

A flexible schedule of ArtZone workshops led by an experienced art educator is offered on selected Friday afternoons throughout the school year. MMoCA provides supplies, instruction, and transportation free-of-charge to ArtZone participants. To register for upcoming ArtZone sessions, youth coordinators should contact sheri@mmoca.org.

Support for ArtZone has been generously provided by Zendesk Neighbor Foundation, CUNA Mutual Group Foundation, U.S. Bank Foundation, and the Madison Arts Commission.
