Gallery Talk with Karen Redfield who has taught Native American Literature at Madison Area Technical College for ten years. She is featured in American Indian Rhetorics of Survivance: Word Medicine, Word Magic (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2006) and will facilitate the first Native American Writers Conversation, to be held in Madison in April 2010. more »

This Kids' Art Adventure explores the theme "What is
America?" with a focus on Vaquero, Luis Jiménez's lithograph of a Mexican cowboy on view in Apple Pie. After the discussion, kids will use colored pencil, oil pastel, watercolors, and glitter to illustrate their ideas of "home." more »

Inspired by the ideas of musician John Cage, kids will perform a “fluxconcert” and make works of art using the unpredictable element of chance.
