Design MMoCA
April 26–May 6, 2012
From April 26 to May 6, 2012, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art will be home to the third bi-annual Design MMoCA. This design showcase will challenge the region’s most creative interior designers, architects, graphic designers, fashion designers, and industrial designers to use works from the museum’s permanent collection as inspiration for one-of-a-kind design projects. The resulting works will be showcased—along with the inspiration artwork—in MMoCA’s galleries and lobby. The works will be on view for a eleven-day design event with an expected attendance of 5,000 art and design enthusiasts. Other related events will include a preview gala, a public meet-the-designer session, and a series of gallery talks.
All proceeds raised through Design MMoCA will benefit the museum’s free-admissions policy, as well as its exhibitions and education programs.
