Internships
MMoCA’s internship program invites applications from art-enthusiastic individuals who have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and are interested in gaining first-hand professional experience in a museum setting.
Applicants are encouraged to obtain academic credit for their internship through their college or university, as applicable. Internships are paid and offer the following benefits:
- Free admission to MMoCA exhibition openings, art talks, and films
- Behind-the-scenes previews of exhibitions and special events
- Real-world museum work experience
Our project-oriented internships are available in Fall (September-December), Spring (January-May), and Summer (May-August), and are dependent upon the needs of individual departments. Scheduling is flexible, however, interns are expected to complete scheduled hours between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Summer interns are asked to work during Art Fair on the Square.
