The museum’s popular, free outdoor art programs brings expert instruction and a relaxed attitude to art projects at parks, playgrounds, and beaches in Madison and Dane County in the summer.
Both programs offer a variety of individual and group art projects planned for children ages three and above. All children should be accompanied by a supervising adult. Organized summer camps and other childcare programs must pre-register; families are invited to drop-in with no pre-registration necessary.
Art Cart is jointly organized by MMoCA and Madison School & Community Recreation. Art Cart EXTRA! is a program of MMoCA. Art Cart and Art Cart EXTRA! are generously supported by the Alliant Energy Foundation, the Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company, the Cummings Christensen Family Foundation, Terry Haller, and Culver’s Frozen Custard and ButterBurgers.

Kids across Madison and Dane County are invited to just show up for Art Cart. There's no cost and no reservations are required.
