Stop by the reception desk in the MMoCA lobby and ask for the MMoCAkids ArtPack, the museum's hands-on discovery kit for exploring art. Designed for family members to use together, the ArtPack contains a variety of activities that promote observation and imaginative thinking about visual art. The kit is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing families to choose which activities to use and what to look at in the galleries. The ArtPack also includes special take-home activities inspired by works on view in current exhibitions. Learn about Jennifer Steinkamp and digital art or imagine the story taking place in Hollis Sigler's painting, I Thought I Was In Paradise.
MMoCA offers families a variety of resources for exploring its exhibitions. The Learning Centers feature interactive computer kiosks, books for children on related exhibition themes, and a full range of discovery activities for various age levels that promote imaginative thinking about the works of art on view.
Designed for use anywhere in the museum, the MMoCAteens and MMoCAkids art guides provide young visitors and their adult companions with multiple ways to investigate contemporary art. Find them in exhibition learning centers and at the entrance to MMoCA's State Street Gallery.
MMoCA's Free Family Resources are generously supported by the Nimick Forbesway Foundation.
