The Development Associate provides support for the development efforts and administrative functions of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. This individual works with development department staff on membership and fundraising initiatives, serves as executive assistant to the Director, and manages several independent projects. The Development Associate works closely with the Development Officer and the Director of Advancement to support MMoCA’s individual and corporate membership programs; manages Gallery Night events; provides Annual Fund campaign support; and assists with other department initiatives as assigned. The Development Associate coordinates the Director's correspondence, scheduling, board communication, and travel.
A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong writing skills, and experience with databases and administrative support are key. This is a part-time position of 25 hours per week. Some evening and weekend event hours outside of regular office hours are required.
