ArtZone participants explore a painting by Chicago artist Karl Wirsum.
ArtZone is MMoCA's afterschool art program for 4th through 6th grade youth. Offered on a Thursday or a Friday afternoon, ArtZone involves students from neighborhood and community centers in a two-hour workshop at the museum that combines engaging tours with related hands-on art activities. Students participating in organized afterschool programs at area schools are also welcome to register for the program. MMoCA provides supplies, instruction, and transportation free-of-charge to ArtZone participants. A flexible schedule of ArtZone workshops led by an experienced art educator is offered throughout the school year. To learn about upcoming ArtZone sessions, youth coordinators should contact email@example.com.
Support for ArtZone has been generously provided by the CUNA Mutual Foundation, the Capital Times Kids Fund, U.S. Bank Foundation, and the Madison Arts Commission, with additional funds from the Wisconsin Arts Board.
