Saturday, July 14, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm
Sunday, July 15, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
Madison, WI -- The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art is recruiting 600 volunteers for the 49th annual Art Fair on the Square on July 14 and 15, 2007. One of the country’s most recognized fairs, Art Fair on the Square draws more than 200,000 visitors each year. Art Fair volunteers can enjoy the fair on the beautiful Capitol Concourse while providing crucial support for the museum’s most important fundraiser of the year.
Volunteers may choose from a variety of opportunities. Assignments include working at a Madison Museum of Contemporary Art concession stand and booth-sitting for artist relief.
Volunteer shifts are approximately three hours, allowing time to enjoy the fair. The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art encourages groups of friends, coworkers, and family members to volunteer together. Children ages 11 to 15 may volunteer with an adult companion. All volunteers receive coupons for free food and beverages. Volunteers who work three or more shifts receive a free Art Fair T-shirt.
Those wishing to volunteer may download an application at mmoca.org or email the Art Fair on the Square volunteer coordinator at volcoord@mmoca.org. For more information, call Christina Sours at 608.257.0158 x 244.
