MMoCA Announces Artist Talks
Accompanying the 2007 Wisconsin Triennial
MADISON, WI – Five artists participating in the Wisconsin Triennial will discuss their work during public talks in the lecture hall and galleries of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. All presentations are open to the public and are free, except where noted.
The Wisconsin Triennial will be on view at the museum through July 15, 2007.
Art Talk with Fred Stonehouse
Thursday, May 17 • 6:30 pm
Fred Stonehouse will discuss his idiosyncratic cast of characters that comment on the human condition and its various betrayals, wounds, and disillusions in his work. Free to MMoCA members, $5 for the general public. Lecture Hall.
Gallery Talk with Beth Lipman
Friday, June 1 • 6:30 pm
Beth Lipman will discuss her sculpting process as well as her recent interest in photographing, and then destroying, her sculptures. Free admission. State Street Gallery.
Gallery Talk with Nicolas Lampert
Friday, June 8 • 6:30 pm
Nicolas Lampert will talk about his Meatscapes digital collages and Attention Chicken! sculpture, their technical processes, and his interest in broadly disseminating his art in museums, galleries, ‘zines, parking lots, and elsewhere. Free admission. Main Galleries.

Ho Chunk Nation member Tom Jones will talk about his recent photographic series, Native Commodity, which critiques the commercial use of Native American imagery in the Wisconsin Dells. Free admission. Main Galleries.
