Welcome! This section of Modern Art/Contemporary Art/MMoCA Collects is designed especially for educators. It offers teaching information and ideas for you to use with your students that are based on works of art in MMoCA Collects.

For Teachers provides original lesson plans and information on how to

look at art and analyze its physical properties
interpret and find meaning in visual art
schedule a guided or self-guided tour of MMoCA
find additional resources for teachers available at MMoCA

Intended for classroom use, the lesson plans included here were developed and tested by a team of subject specialists. These experienced educators chose works of art in MMoCA Collects as the basis for lessons in art, language arts, life science, mathematics, music, history, and technology. Examples of their students' work illustrate potential outcomes of the lessons.
