The Art League

The Art League, an active volunteer organization created in 1970, welcomes all Madison Museum of Contemporary Art members who choose to add this opportunity to a museum membership.

  • Active participation as an Art League member is a personally rewarding and immensely exciting experience.
  • Many members organize and work on our annual fundraisers, including the Silent Auction Tent of Art Fair on the Square in July as well as the Arts Ball and Holiday Art Fair in the fall.
  • League membership meetings provide enjoyable social opportunities and stimulating programs. Among these are luncheons, gallery walks, and lectures by noted curators and speakers—all arranged by our members.
  • In turn, for everyday and holiday gift-giving, Art League members are offered a special discount at the Museum Store.
  • Art League members make new and lasting friendships as they work together for the museum. Many say these friends have become some of the best over the years.

We invite you to become an active member of the Art League by adding $25 to the cost of your Madison Museum of Contemporary Art membership. See Membership for details.

Holiday Art Fair

The Art League’s biggest fundraiser of the year is the Holiday Art Fair—and it’s not too early to get involved. With spring cleaning rituals and yard sale preparations underway, it’s the perfect time to search for gently used items to be sold at the Holiday Art Fair’s Rediscovered Art and Treasures Sale. Desired donations include two- and three-dimensional artworks, numbered prints, ceramics, fiber art, sculpture, jewelry, collectibles, books, CDs, antiques, and other once-loved treasures. Donations are tax deductible. Items can be delivered to MMoCA or you may also call the museum at 608.257.0158 to arrange to have items picked up.
