New Media Gallery
The New Media Gallery, located on the second floor of the museum, features a varied program of artist video or documentary films about art and artists featured in current exhibitions or the permanent collection.
Spotlight Cinema
Spotlight Cinema features the Madison premieres of internationally acclaimed independent films screened on selected Thursday evenings during the fall. Spotlight Cinema is curated by Mike King, associate academic curator for the UW-Madison Department of Communication Art, and Tom Yoshikami, doctoral candidate in film studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and advisor for the Wisconsin Union Directorate art and film committees. Spotlight Cinema is a program of MMoCA’s education department. The series is funded by Venture Investors, LLC, and the Maia Foundation.
Films are screened at 7 pm in MMoCA’s lecture hall. Admission is free for MMoCA members and $7 per screening for the general public.

Rooftop Cinema
Bring a blanket or camp chair and enjoy an evening of avant-garde films under the stars at Rooftop Cinema during the summer months. Films are screened at 9:30 pm in the museum’s rooftop sculpture garden, with ticket sales beginning at 8 pm. Admission is free for MMoCA members and $7 per screening for the general public. Limited seating is available. The program relocates to the lecture hall in case of rain. more »
