Application Deadline Approaches for 2013 Wisconsin Triennial

Application Deadline Approaches for
Wisconsin Triennial 2013

MADISON, WI--The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art invites artists from across the state to apply to the 2013 Wisconsin Triennial. Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 11, 2013.

The upcoming Triennial, juried and organized by MMoCA’s curatorial staff, will be on view at MMoCA from September 21, 2013, to January 5, 2014. Mary Louise Schumacher, art and architecture critic at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has called the Triennial “the most important showcase of contemporary art being made in Wisconsin.”

The 2013 Wisconsin Triennial will bring expanded exposure for artists through new onsite and online features, including a catalog illustrating work by each artist; a page dedicated to each artist; a virtual gallery tour with commentary by curatorial staff; and a cell phone audio tour composed of artists’ recorded statements.

Artists who are full-time residents of the state of Wisconsin are eligible to apply; original work in all media will be considered. Application information is available from the museum’s website at mmoca.org/2013-triennial/entries. Online applications may be submitted at mmoca.slideroom.com/#/Login.

For additional information, call MMoCA’s associate curator, Leah Kolb, at 608.257.0158 x 233.
