First Mondays with Natalie Settles

First Mondays with Natalie Settles
Monday, April 6   •   noon

MADISON, WI-- The Art League of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art presents an informal lecture by the artist Natalie Settles on Monday, April 6, at noon in the museum's lecture hall. The presentation is part of the Art League's continuing First Mondays series. Admission is free and open to the public.

Natalie Settles is a 2008 Wisconsin Arts Board Fellow. She received her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003 and has exhibited nationally and internationally since 1999. Her presentation at the museum will focus on the drawings in her Natural Motif series, which describe nature through modern biology and Victorian design. The works are influenced by the artist's ongoing conversations with biology researchers, which, she says, “curiously resonate with current concerns in art.”
